At the 2009 American Dairy Goat Association's national competition Creeping Thyme Farm won two third place, two second place, three first place and a "best in show".   Check back soon for a listing of each  the winners.....but we can tell you now our yogurt was both a 1st place and the best in show! :)

Creeping Thyme Farm also won a Milk Quality award from Diary One for 2009 because our somatic cell counts were so low.   Mastitis, an infection of the udder, causes high somatic cell counts.  Clean practices such as always milking clean, dry teats with clean, dry hands, keeping udders shaved and hooves trimmed and bedding clean all reduce the likelihood of mastitis and high somatic cell counts.  Our milk is tested monthly by Diary One to measure somatic cell levels as well as the amount of protein and butterfat produced by each milking doe.

Bottom line -- Creeping Thyme Farm is a clean dairy with great products! :D
